Message Ok I'm lookin like an ass already lol. My computer was fried a couple weeks ago thanks to a buddy spilling beer directly into the case on accident. So I am on someone elses at the moment and don't have access all the time.

I pulled the head off and it has the number 30 stamped on the valves. As far as I know those are 90-92 N/A valves but I'm not positive. They also have 10y stamped into the head casting.

So basically you guys had it figured out right away. They're obviously N/A heads on a TT block. The grinding of the part # may have been done by ATK I don't know. I called a friend of mine that works on the other side of the law and asked him how I could run the serial # on the block. He said "good question, I'll have to look into it". So there's no HOT list so to speak.

Guess I'm rebuilding the engine now since I'm this far into it. Hopefully DMV doesn't come along one day and say the engine is stolen. I paid 1600 for the engine and some t28 godspeeds that were supposedly brand new. They look new, but there is a bit of side to side play going on and I don't know if that's normal or what.

Thanks for everyone's response. I'm pretty sure I never got that many responses on Corral.Net (Mustang Forum) to any of my questions LOL. I had a 96 GT that I bought back in 05'. Over the last 8 years I had put a considerable amount of money & time into it. The entire car was reworked. Big brakes, tubular suspension (k-member,arms,watts link, etc.),fuel safe cell, Vortech T trim, cams... I try not to think about it cause it was stolen out of my driveway in January. So long story kinda short, I scrounged up what I could (only had liability on the stang) and started searching for salvage cars. Found a Z32TT in Vegas and the guy agreed on an AR-15 and $ 600. Drove it back home to Phx. and drove it just enough to realize that Mustang are pieces of s**t and then I sold it. I feel pretty lucky to have gotten the car I sold it for though. I picked up a 90 TT without an engine but the car was well taken care of. It still had the window sticker in the glove box.
So, it looks like the Mustang getting ripped off is a blessing in disguise cause for the month or so I drove the first Z made me feel like I just started driving again. Awesome car and I'm stoked to have one to build and stoked to hopefully be a part of the TT.net community.

Cheers
